Wireform® Metal mesh, ArtEmboss® Soft Metal sheets and other Metal Crafts
WireForm® is a specially manufactured metal mesh that is pliable enough to mould, yet sturdy enough to add structure to clays and modeling materials including polymer clay.
WireForm® is perfect for the many modeling and sculptural design challenges facing artists, crafters, architects, and students. A flat piece of WireForm® easily transforms into three-dimensional shapes by simply molding, crimping, twisting, expanding, and gathering.
WireForm® is available in a selection of expandable and woven metal mesh patterns, designed to provide a wide variety of art, craft, and model-making options. The expandable mesh is made from specially manufactured metals that give it incredible flexibility and strength. Its unique raised diamond strands expand and contract to form three-dimensional shapes. Because it can stretch into tight contours and shapes, it is ideal for detailed projects and delicate crafts.
The woven wires create a structural grid that assumes different textures as it is bent and molded. The heavier meshes are recommended for supporting sculptures using clay and other heavier compounds.
ArtEmboss® Soft Metal Sheets
Available in 100% pure pewter, copper, brass, aluminum, and colored aluminum, ArtEmboss® can be used to decorate virtually any object or room in your home.
A special manufacturing process makes ArtEmboss® extremely soft and pliable. A fine point stylus is all that is needed to trace a pattern into the metal.
There are two weights of ArtEmboss® metal sheets: light and medium. Light sheets are perfect for intricate detail patterns and decoration of lightweight objects such as greeting cards and gift tags. The medium weight sheets work well on photo albums, picture frames, gift boxes, as well as for a variety of fine art projects.
ArtEmboss light has a thickness of 3mil (.003) and medium is 5mil (.005)
